The Sunday Experience
Sunday mornings only happen once a week, so you should take advantage of them when they come around. Sunday is when the First Baptist Raytown community comes together to worship, learn, and fellowship, and we look forward to you joining us this Sunday. If you are new to First Baptist Raytown, you’ve come to the right page to get your feet wet.

Worship
Choose from one of our two worship services this Sunday morning. The music may be different, but the teaching is the same. Come to either service to hear a message from God's Word.
Our Blended Service begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. Join the choir, orchestra, and praise team in the blended service for a mix of traditional and contemporary music.
Our Contemporary Service begins at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. The contemporary band leads in new worship songs as well as some older songs with a new twist. This is a come as you are service. Wear your jeans or wear a suit. It doesn’t matter to us what you wear; we just hope to see you Sunday morning.

Bible Study
Everybody needs a group of people they can relate to in an environment that will help them grow. Join us at any of our three Bible study hours, 8:15, 9:30, or 11:00, for a class suited perfectly for you. We have classes available for nursery through senior adults.

The Kids
We love kids at First Baptist Raytown! That’s why we have something special on Sunday mornings for every infant through high schooler.
Babies (birth-2 years) It’s not always easy sitting with an infant in a worship service or Bible study hour, which is why we have several volunteers at the ready in our nursery to care for your baby on Sunday mornings.
Preschoolers (2 years - Kindergarten) Your preschooler will have a blast with other kids his or her age every Sunday morning. We have fun teachers in every classroom leading the preschoolers in games and stories about God’s love, all on a level the little ones can understand.
Children (1st-4th Graders) Kids express themselves differently than adults, so we offer a unique program for your 1st through 4th graders on Sunday mornings. At 9:30, the kids meet as a large group for Powerhouse, a worship hour with music, games, and a lesson geared toward children. At 11:00, they break into small groups with other kids their age for Bible study. All of this happens in our awesome children’s area, Kid’s City.
Pre-Teens (5th & 6th Graders) Your pre-teen isn’t quite a teenager yet, and they don’t learn the same way as a young child anymore, so we have a special schedule just for your pre-teen. We offer Bible study classes for 5th and 6th graders at both 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. That way pre-teens can attend worship with their parents during either worship hour.
Students (7th-12th Graders) If you have a teenager, you know they have a style all there own, so we try to accommodate that. Middle and high schoolers kick off Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the Student Auditorium where they’ll experience teaching that applies to real life, ridiculously crazy fun, and a student band to lead in your student’s favorite modern worship songs. Then at 11:00, students head to the contemporary worship service.
Dress
Sometimes it’s hard to decide what to wear ... especially when it comes to getting dressed for church. So here’s what you need to know about getting dressed to come to First Baptist Raytown. We want you to be comfortable. Dress like you want to dress. If to you Sunday morning means wearing a suit and tie, then come in a suit and tie, but if you feel more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, then we want you to be casual. There is no dress code; just come as you are.
Parking
Don’t let parking be an issue. You can park in any of our lots, but we have a guest parking lot at front of church specifically for you. We also have a senior adult and wheelchair parking lot at the east entrance with easy accessibility into the building.
