Imagine Patron Program
Imagine a world without music. What if there were no children singing, no music on the airwaves, no strings to create a mood in your favorite movie, no way to worship God through a beautiful song? Sound without beauty.
Imagine a world without art. Who would envision the magnificent architecture or create ads in our businesses or paint pictures that stir both mind and soul? Blank canvases and empty walls.
Imagine a world without dancing. What if our children did not express joy and their sense of playful fun through their bodies? What if we never harnessed that inner dance God put in us and developed it into something honoring to Him?
Imagine a world without drama. Where would be the entertainment that gives us laughter after a long day or allows us for a moment to enter a different world? Through dramatizing Christ as we do in the Heart of America Christmas Pageant, does the telling of the story breathe life into God’s greatest gift to us?
A world without music, art, dance, or drama would be a world starved of imagination and creativity.
As public schools put less emphasis on the arts, a strong need rises up for someone to develop these artistic skills in our children for tomorrow. Who better to do this than the church? God gave us the arts both for our enjoyment and to offer back to Him in worship. The great Creator, who made us in His image, gave us the ability to be creative – now we have the responsibility and the pleasure to develop our creativity.
Let’s put the responsibility of fine arts education back on the church. Let’s have churches teaching quality technique with excellence in a way that honors our creative God.
