A MESSAGE FROM PAT WINDHAM
Summer is an exciting time of year at First Baptist Raytown. School is over, warm weather is here, schedules are more relaxed and we are gearing up for the best summer ever! We will have many ministry opportunities. Watch your mail, email and the Advance each week so you don't miss anything. We start with Kidz Blitz Live during our evening Vacation Bible School June 16-20. It will conclude on Friday night with fun and games for the whole family as Kidz Blitz Live show us what fun is all about.

iCamp is at Windermere August 3-7 for children who have completed 3-6 grade. This will be a week filled with music, games, crafts, Bible Study, water activities, and worship led by Billy Buchanan and his band. Join us and bring your friends. You will never be the same!

Preschoolers are also gearing up for Kidz Blitz Live Vacation Bible School, Splash Day on July 15 and Day Camp on August 5. Preschoolers love to have fun and learn about Jesus. Students will begin "Think Action" small groups on Sunday nights at 6:00 in the Underground and then have a fun activity or mission action event following. Of course, Wednesdays in the Underground start each week at 4:00 with games, then Huddle Groups and Worship. We will have a Digital Underground Concert in the Student Auditorium Friday, June 13, free to first time guests and $5 for all others. The Mosaic Mission Trip is June 21-28. We will partner with First Baptist Houston in Texas. And the Puppet Team will travel to Primera lglesia Bautista in Ingleside, TX July 3-13. 65 -70 students are being trained to share the gospel with people of different cultures and lifestyles. The RAVE Student Camp is at Windermere July 27-31. It will rock your face off, so be prepared for the RAVE to take over. Al so, summer is not summer without a day at the lake, Royals baseball and other fun activities that are scheduled. Mark your calendars now for a great summer, and invite all your friends to join you.

Many adult leaders are needed to help out during all the summer programs. If you can help in anyway please call the church office. Please pray that our children will become more like Christ during the summer of 2008!

Pat Windham
