A MESSAGE FROM GENE CALHOUN
Freedom Celebration 2008 will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 6. We will have only one service that day as we come together to celebrate the birth of our nation and give thanks for those who have served and are now serving in the armed forces. Brig. General Cecil Richardson will be our special guest speaker for the day. What you need to do: Simply Invite! Invite your friends and neighbors - especially those who have served or are now serving in the armed forces. Why not offer to bring them with you, and then take them to lunch after the service? They will thank you for caring!
Camp Applause, our summer fine arts camp, is July 14-18 with Family Night presentation on Friday night. Kids who have finished kindergarten through sixth grade, join us and have fun with a wide variety of the arts: video production, drama, puppets, dance, STOMP, clowning, magic, sign language, Photoshop, storytelling, music and others. Go to the church website to register, or pick up a "Spend Summer in Our Backyard" brochure at one of the kiosks around the church. You'll want to register early in order to get the class your child wants. Class sizes are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Have a great summer!
