At FBR, we understand that 5th and 6th graders feel a little out of place since they aren't one of the little kids anymore and they aren't quite teenagers yet. That's why we have a specific preteen ministry just for them.
Your preteen isn’t quite a teenager yet, and they don’t learn the same way as a young child anymore, so we have a special schedule just for your pre-teen. We offer Bible study classes for 5th and 6th graders at both 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. That way, pre-teens can attend worship with their parents during either worship hour.
Sunday Summer Nights
If you prefer to come to church on Sunday evenings to our 5:00 service, we have something great for your kids as well! This summer, your kids will enjoy Sunday Summer Nights from 5:00-6:15 p.m. Here's what we'll be doing this summer:
May - Movie Madness
Join us in the Kid City Cinema as we explore God's Word and watch a Biblically based video. Popcorn provided!
June - Build It and They Will Come!
Get your game face on because we are building with Legos, Lincoln Logs, and K'nex as we check out how God build us to serve Him!
July - Game Day!
Board games, field games, water games, and computer games will help us learn how we are made to worship Him!
August - Make It and Take It!
Each week will make or build something that helps us learn about just how big a God we serve!
Our preteens are included in all of our Children’s Ministry special events, like Kid’s Camp for 3rd-6th graders, Easter Eggstravaganza, Fall Fun Fest, and Create-A-Camp, but they get a special event just for them: Pre-Now.
Pre-Now is a spring weekend retreat when 5th and 6th graders stay in host homes divided by grade and gender and are led by college students in Bible studies and activities. The preteens come together for large group sessions with a guest speaker and worship band. The weekend is a time for fun and building relationships, but more importantly, it is an opportunity for your preteen to grow in their relationship with God.
