If you are new to FBR, thanks for checking us out, and we hope you feel at home with us! We know coming to a new church is a little overwhelming, so we've put together this page specifically for you. You'll find some things that you may need to know if you're new here, but feel free to look around the whole site and make yourself at home.
Sunday Mornings
There's more to First Baptist Raytown than just Sunday mornings, but Sundays are special to us because it's time set aside for the entire church to come together to worship, learn, and fellowship together.
We have worship services at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. and Bible study classes for all ages at 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. Click here to find out all you need to know about the Sunday experience at FBR.
New Member Class
If you are a new member or are thinking about becoming one, join us at the next New Member Class on Sunday, February 19 at 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Join members of the FBR staff for lunch, a short class, and a time for questions. Reserve your spot by February 15.
Info you need
It might seem a little overwhelming to stay informed about what's going on in a church our size, but we've made it easy for you to stay in the know with our various communication methods.
The Memo (bulletin) - pick one up every Sunday morning for details about what's coming up that week
The Plug - watch these video announcements on Sunday mornings or on the FBR YouTube channel
E-Memo - click here to sign up for this weekly email newsletter
The Advance - if you don't receive our monthly newsletter in your mailbox, you can pick one up in the main lobby. You can also view it online here.
Facebook & Twitter - for really up-to-date info, you can always friend us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter
Getting plugged in
FBR is the smallest big church you'll ever see. What does that mean? It means, yes, we are a big church, but people who get plugged in don't feel that way for long. You'll start walking through the halls and recognize people you've met while getting involved at FBR. Here are just a few ways you can get plugged in at FBR:
Choir
Orchestra
Bible Study
JOY Women's Ministry
Man Up Men's Ministry
LLL - for adults 55 & over
