Membership at First Baptist Raytown is open to anyone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of their sins and has been baptized by immersion by a body of believers of like faith and practice. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ and been baptized by immersion, we can help you with these spiritual decisions. At the end of each service an invitation is given where pastors and counselors are available to talk with you, pray with you, and answer any questions you may have, or you can meet a counselor at the Next Steps area in the main lobby on Sunday mornings and in the Atrium on Sunday evenings. You may also call our pastoral office during the week at 816-353-1994.
There are three ways you can join our church family:
Believing in the importance for a new member or new believer in Christ to understand the biblical doctrines embraced by First Baptist Raytown, as well as its various ministry opportunities, all new members will be considered associate members until completion of the Starting Point new members class. After completion of Starting Point, associate members will become active members with all the associated rights and privileges including voting at the church business meetings.
The next step to becoming an active member of First Baptist Raytown is to participate in a new members class called Starting Point. Starting Point is an opportunity for new members, and those thinking about membership, to spend time with Pastor Brandon and other staff members and learn who FBR is and what we believe. It will also help us get to know you and help make you feel at home. Starting Point meets the third Sunday of every month. Click here to find out more.
If you have additional questions about becoming a member of First Baptist Raytown, stop by the Next Steps area on Sundays or contact Robin Moore during the week at 816-778-1104 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have a prayer request, we would love to pray for you. Feel free to call the church office at 816-353-1994 or submit your prayer request to email@example.com.
