At FBR, we aim to have a relevant, fun, safe, and exciting program that will introduce children to Jesus and provide opportunities for them to grow closer to Him. We do this through Bible study, kid’s worship, events, and activities. Scroll down and check out what you have for your kids.

Bible Study & Powerhouse Worship
Kids express themselves differently than adults, so we offer a unique program for your 1st through 4th graders on Sunday mornings. At 9:30, the kids meet as a large group for Powerhouse, a worship hour with music, games, and a lesson geared toward children. At 11:00, they break into small groups with other kids their age for Bible study. All of this happens in our awesome children’s area, Kid’s City.

Studio 316 (B116)
Let their imaginations soar! Kids will use art as a hands-on way to reinforce the Biblical theme/lesson for the day.

Kid City Cinema (B102-104)
See the Bible story leap off the pages right before your eyes! Kids will experience real-life application of the Bible through short Christian educational movies as well as clips from popular children’s movies. Small group discussions and activities will reinforce what kids are learning.

Concession Stand (redemption center)
Kids will earn bucks for memorizing scripture, learning the books of the Bible, bringing friends, bringing their Bible, etc. Bucks can be redeemed in the Cinema for candy and prizes.

Shenanigans Square (B120-122)
Kids love to laugh and have fun! This active game show themed station and computer lab will help kids learn what God’s Word has to say and how to use their Bibles.

Midtown Missions (B110)
Join us in Midtown because telling others about Christ is at the center of all we do. Kids will dive into new cultures, meet missionaries and explore fun ways to share their faith.

Surprise Central (B126-128)
You never know what’s going to happen in Surprise Central! But you can count on a morning of fun and active learning that will feed the curious minds of kids. This station springs to action during months with 5 Sundays.

Weekly Activities
GLOW on Wednesday Nights
GLOW (Go Light Our World) is from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Kid City. GLOW is designed to connect what kids learn on Sunday morning with how they live the rest of the week. Kids will have opportunities to put into action various Biblical lessons through service projects, active Bible study and evangelism. Each month will be themed with a “virtue” like self-control, generosity or hope. This will be the same virtue the 1-4 graders are studying on Sunday morning. Kids will be divided into 2 groups 1-3 grade and 4-6 grade. Each child will need a current medical release form on file in order to go participate in any off campus service projects.

WaM - Children’s Choir
WaM is Worship, Arts, Music and is proving to be a big hit with our 1st through 6th graders. Kids get to choose their small group from areas like drama, dance, media, solo coaching, art and instruments. In addition to the small group of their choice, everyone goes to choir each week. WaM runs from September through December, culminating with a concert in November and our annual Christmas program in December. In January, we begin our spring musical to be presented in May. Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ)
What a great opportunity for your child to hide God’s word in their hearts! More than 500 Bible facts may be learned if your child attends Bible Quiz all seven years. Kindergarten-6th grade children compete in quiz matches with other area churches on the first Saturday of each month. Bible Quiz runs from August to March.

Upcoming Events
Easter Eggstravaganza
On Saturday, March 31, the Preschool and Children’s ministries will host our annual Easter egg hunt on the church property. This outreach to our community could not have been a success last year without the help of our faithful volunteers. We need your help again this year. Here is how you can get involved:

Volunteers
We need help with set up prior to the event, egg hiding, greeting, registration, serving lunch, and clean up. We will also be taking donations of individually-wrapped cookies to include in lunch bags and $5-10 gift cards from kid friendly businesses/restaurants. Eggs
Thousands of plastic eggs filled with individually-wrapped candies are needed. Please drop them off in boxes located at each entrance or at the reception desk.

You
Toddlers-sixth graders are invited to attend from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The event includes illusions, puppets, music, prizes, and the giant Easter egg hunt followed by a free hot dog lunch. All children must be accompanied by an adult and encouraged to bring a friend. Admittance is 6 filled plastic Easter eggs. After you register in the main lobby, head to the Worship Center where the event begins.

Create-A-Camp
Create-A-Camp is a mash up of all things kids love! It is Vacation Bible School, Camp Applause (Fine Arts Camp) and Sports Camp all rolled into one. No more running all over town week after week, paying fee after fee to get your kid involved in summer activities. You have spoken and we have heard you. This all day camp for 5 year olds through 6th graders has strong Biblical teaching as well as quality instruction in sports and arts. Registration for our FBR family begins March 1 and is opened to the general public March 8. A complete list of classes will be available in February.

Your child will get to create their own camp experience by choosing 2 activities to EXCEL in everyday. They will also get the added bonus each day to EXPLORE 4 other activities. Create-A-Camp includes daily age graded small group EXALT Bible study classes. Opening and closing worship rallies will EXCITE kiddos. Campers will EXPRESS themselves in a musical performance the whole family will enjoy.

Create-A-Camp is July 30-August 3 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. for 5-year-olds through 6th graders. Cost is $60 per child. Before and after care is available from 7:00-8:30 a.m. and 4:30-6:00 p.m. for $2.50 per morning or afternoon session.
