Levels of Intentionality
Because the ROC provides new and exciting ways for ministry, FBR's fellowship staff came up with the "levels of intentionality" to assist member in using the ROC as they seek to impact the lives of those they know and infuse those relationships with gospel influence.
The levels of intentionality involve five stages of relationship building: invest, encounter, invite, equip and engage. Each of these levels is based upon a scripture that signifies its value to the relationship building process. Level One: Invest
The believer invests in the life of a seeker with a genuine interest and desire to develop a friendship.
"...
I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some." I Corinthians 9:22b
Level Two: Encounter
The seeker experiences a deeper understanding of God, his love for us, and our separation from him than ever before as a result of the witness or testimony of the believer.
"Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:39 Level Three: Invite
The seeker is presented the gospel and invited to accept Christ as his or her personal savior.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 Level Four: Equip
Following salvation, the new believer is trained and mentored in the faith.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." Colossians 3:23 Level Five: Engage
Following salvation and during discipleship, the believer is brought to a place where they are not only being served by the body of Christ, but they are also discovering their own area of ministry.
"We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully." Romans 12:6-8
