MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
MOPS meetings include teaching that offers information that is relevant to the life of the mother of young children. Topics may explore mom’s emotional needs, offer practical instruction and celebrate special times of motherhood. This teaching time is followed by a discussion group time in which each mom gets a chance to share her ideas, successes, questions and concerns in an intimate, accepting atmosphere. Moms are also given the opportunity to express themselves creatively through craft projects and experience the sense of accomplishment that comes with trying and finishing new things. While moms are attending their meeting, preschool children are cared for by loving teachers using Bible-based curriculum in our MOPPETS program.
MOPS of First Baptist Raytown meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month (September- November and January- May) from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Our group is open to any mother who has a child aged birth through kindergarten. Come join us! MOPS believes wholeheartedly that you are doing something of incredible worth - you are a mother! We stand by your side and celebrate along with you in this wondrous and challenging season of raising young children.
