Continuing the Legacy: A Day of Celebration

Event Date:
Jul 2 2017
Event Category:

Throughout our long history, our church has maintained an unwavering legacy. We have always been a church that stands firmly on God’s Word, helps believers grow in their walk, serves the hurting in our community, and most importantly tells the lost about Jesus. We are able to carry on this legacy of deeply rooted faith in God because of the freedom we are blessed to have in this country. On Sunday, July 2, we are asking everyone to attend both worship hours for a full morning of celebrating our faith, freedom, and future.

9:30 a.m. – Freedom Celebration. We'll sing some of our favorite patriotic songs and observe all of our favorite traditions, including the recognition of our armed forces. We encourage our veterans and active duty military to wear your uniforms as we will recognize you for your courageous service.

10:15 a.m. – Multi-Campus Fellowship. Between our two services, we encourage everyone to go to the lobby areas for a time of fellowship to mingle and welcome the Lee's Summit Campus members to their first Sunday with us. Finger foods and beverages will be served.

11:00 a.m. – Becoming Connection Point. We will conclude our morning with a celebration of the future by worshiping with and welcoming our new Lee's Summit Campus church family, hearing a powerful message from Pastor Brandon, and giving you a special preview of our updated Connection Point logo we will begin using in August.

No LifeStudies or 5:00 Service. We encourage everyone to attend this family celebration, so we will not have LifeStudies classes or our 5:00 p.m. service on July 2.

Child Care. Child care will only be available during the 11:00 hour for infants-kindergarteners. If you would like to volunteer with child care for this day, please contact Beth Tanaka at btanaka@firstbaptistraytown.com or 778-1125.

Check out our live webcast on Sunday mornings at 9:30 & 11:00. You can now watch on your computer, tablet or phone.
