Billy Graham and Media Call Center
First Baptist Raytown's Telephone Counseling Ministry provides prayer support and shares the gospel with callers during the church's television broadcasts and throughout the year during Billy Graham televised crusades.
What a fantastic year at First Baptist telephone ministries. God granted us the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ with over 1,500 precious souls whose calls were answered by our volunteers. During this years telecast of First Baptist on Sunday mornings and telecasts of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association God blessed our teams with more than 300 people receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior. What a great effort by our wonderful volunteers and what an awesome God to allow First Baptist to be a part of sharing the gospel with hundreds of people through modern instruments like the television and the telephone.
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers
and may you be eternally blessed for your efforts.
Billy Graham Evangelist Association 2007 Proposed Schedule. First Baptist phone center will be open all but the December session.

Volunteer Highlight
"And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"
- Romans 10:15(A note from our new Extension Center at Deerbrook Covenant Church in Lee's Summit)
"Over the last 2 nights at KCRM2 we took 26 calls and 6 precious souls committed their lives to Jesus. Pray that their new found faith will grow and that they will tell others what Jesus has done for them. (We were part of a group of about 600 phone workers plus a similar number of prayer and support staff nationally. I'll forward the national numbers when I get them.)
There were several rededications and a lot of people who just needed prayer and advice to cope with gut wrenching situations.
One 55 year old Christian man just wanted relief from all the struggles he has been going through. He said, "my wife has left me, my children won't speak to me, the people I work for are horrible, I don't like people anymore, and I am just ready to go home to Jesus. I don't want to stay here anymore and I can't take anymore of what's been being dished out to me." We didn't solve all his problems during the 25 minute phone call but he did rededicate his life to the Lord and pledged to read his Bible everyday and get plugged in to a church with small groups. Pray for Buzz.
Also pray for Christine who committed her life to Jesus and is in a court battle to gain custody of her 11 year old daughter who is being abused by her father.
I know I am speaking for all the call center workers when I say again what a real blessing and honor it is to let the Holy Spirit work through us on these nights. What a joy it will be in heaven to see all those we have ministered to and prayed for but never got to meet face to face in this life".

A Note from the Chairman
"Thank you to the Shepard / Casey Bible Study Class. What a wonderful evening we had in the Billy Graham Call Center on a recent Saturday night with members of this great class. We shared fellowship, refreshments a little bit of training and off to the phone room for an exciting evening of helping struggling souls all across our nation.
Rocky White shared in class the following Sunday that he was very impressed with this profound ministry, which is right here in our own church First Baptist of Raytown. His comments started in saying he was a bit skeptical before coming but once he began to answer the needs of the calls received on his telephone his heart opened wide to the spiritual drought our nation is facing. After sharing the plan of salvation with several callers in which God gave Rocky the opportunity pray the "sinners prayer" with the caller Rocky feels that people still need Jesus no matter if they live in the KC area or Hoboken, NJ.. And that people everywhere are touched by the message that Jesus Christ is still the answer.
If you or your Bible Study Class is interested in a night of fellowship and spiritual blessing contact Denise Alt for further information on how to have a class night in the Billy Graham phone center".
