Ongoing Programs and Activities
We provide a variety of programs and activities throughout the week to help your child grow. These programs and activities include:
SonTown Play Area
SonTown is a state-of-the-art playground area within the ROC. It is equipped with padded flooring, a mini-town, a wide variety of play equipment, video game equipment specialized for preschoolers and much more. It is a great area for parents to set up play dates or participate in parent-supervised play. Sontown is open Monday through Friday from 1:30-8:00 p.m. (during spring, fall and winter) or Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. (summer). Children's Choir
Ages: 3-5
This branch of our music ministry is available as an option for your preschooler on Sunday nights during the school year. It begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 5:55 p.m. Check out our children's choir page for more details.
Awana
Ages: 4-Kindergarten
This Bible-based program encourages children to memorize scripture and apply it to their lives. Cubbies (programming for children age 4-5) is availabe for children whose parents serve in Awana. Awana is on Wednesdays. It begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Awana runs during the school year.
SonZone Childcare
Children are divided into age groups and are cared for by trained childcare workers. Childcare is available for scheduled programs at the following times:
Sunday: 4:00-7:30 p.m. (Children ages 4+ attend worship with their parents/guardians from 6:00-7:00 p.m.)
Wednesday: 5:00-8:00 p.m. Childcare is available for scheduled evening activities. Parents are encouraged to enroll children ages 4+ in any of our regularly scheduled Wednesday evening activities.
Monday-Friday: Childcare for children ages 6 weeks through 10 years is provided by FBR for users of the ROC. Punch cards are available for a nominal fee and may be purchased in the ROC office. Reservations must be made in order to insure a spot. Call 816-778-2183 for reservations.
Childcare drop-off is in A113 on all days except Sunday and Wednesday nights. On Sunday and Wednesday nights, infants can be dropped off in A213, toddlers in A232, and preschoolers in A202.
