Preschool Events
 Throughout the year, First Baptist Raytown offers a lot of opportunities for kids of all ages to get involved and do a lot of fun stuff. The events listed below are a sneak peak of what is in store for your preschooler.
EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA
(Preschool through 6th grade)
Every year around Easter, the Preschool and Children's ministries hold an Easter egg hunt on the church property. Kids are invited to this free event which includes puppets, clowns, treats, prizes and the giant Easter egg hunt. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
BABY DEDICATION
(Infants)
This event is for families wishing to dedicate their infant to the Lord during the a.m. or p.m. worship service. Call Beth Tanaka at 816-778-1125 to schedule your baby's dedication.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
(Age 5 through 5th grade)
A 5-day event for children who are 5 years old through those who have completed the 5th grade. This usually takes place in June. There is no cost and is open to all children in the Kansas City area. Each day consists of a large group opening with music and drama, as well as recreation, crafts, snacks, games and Bible study. Each "family group" uses God's word as the guide for all study. VBS also includes classes for birth through 4-year-olds whose parents or grandparents are serving in VBS.
SPLASH DAY
Splash Day is held in July and includes fun water activities for even the youngest child. Sprinklers, wading pool, sand tables, bubbles, and more make this a fun day in the sun!
DAY CAMP
(Age 2 through kindergarten)
Coincides with Children's Camp in August so that preschoolers with siblings that go to camp have camp too!
BIG CHURCH DAY/WORSHIP TRAINING
(Children entering Kindergarten)
This ministry is offered for children who are entering Kindergarten. Learn how to sit together in "big church" successfully.
Each child receives a Big Church Bag to carry his Bible and papers in, as well as a booklet entitled "Worship Training." On Big Church Day, all families with Kindergartners are asked to sit together for special recognition.
CELEBRATE CHILDREN'S WEEK
Held in August or September, Celebrate Children's Week is planned for our children, parents, children's leaders and our church family. The purpose of this weekend is to give the church family an opportunity to see our children and to hear all the things that they are learning about God. It is also a time to recognize all the wonderful leaders that teach our children throughout the year. Family events are also planned to encourage quality family time.
FALL FUN FEST
Held in October, this Halloween alternative is open to children through the 6th grade, their friends and the children of our community. Come for games, candy, popcorn and lots of fun. Admission is one or more items of non-perishable food. Costumes are allowed, but please no monsters, witches, devils, etc.
