First Baptist Raytown's Men's Ministry
 First Baptist Raytown seeks to infuse the life of men with principles of integrity, leadership and service. The Men's Ministry equips men to be spiritual leaders and godly examples through Bible study, accountability and leadership and service opportunities.
Our Purpose
First Baptist Raytown’s Men’s Ministry exists to encourage, equip and challenge men to be bold men of integrity who are dependent on God, and who are making an impact for Christ in their home, church and community.
Our Focus
E.M Bounds once wrote: “It is not great talents nor great learning that God needs, but men great in holiness, great in faith, great in love, great in fidelity, great for God. Those men can mold a generation for God.”
The desire of First Baptist Raytown’s Men’s Ministry is to train men who will mold a generation for God; and strive to become the husbands, fathers, friends and servant leaders that God has called them to be.
Standing on God’s Promise
Jeremiah 17:7-8 is a wonderful promise that God makes to the man who places his trust in Him. It says, “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
First Baptist Raytown’s Men’s Ministry centers around three key areas of emphasis:
- Spiritual Development – This is accomplished by providing Bible studies, mentoring groups and accountability groups to help men develop a deeper walk with Christ.
- Social Development – Whether it’s through BBQ’s, float trips, golf outings, campouts or a wide variety of other activities, the Men’s Ministry will help men develop meaningful relationships with other men.
- Seminars, Retreats and Mission Trips – These activities provide “getaways” for men to receive helpful teaching, have the opportunity to serve, have fun, and be refreshed.
All of the activities are designed to create opportunities for men of all ages to be encouraged and trained in their role as spiritual leaders in their home, church, workplace and community.

Join the Journey to Authentic Manhood! More than just a rally or a Bible study, Men’s Fraternity provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God.
Bible Study
Bible study classes for men are available. Our Bible study classes have three main purposes: to reach, teach and minister.
Deacon Servant Ministry
First Baptist Raytown's Deacon Servant Ministry serves many purposes. First, it helps provide a source of one-on-one ministry to families in the church. In addition the deacons provide leadership, prayer and coordination for various church functions and purposes. Our deacons also have a heart for ministry, as demonstrated by ministry to widows and the elderly. For more information about our deacons ministry, contact Lois Chambon.
Group Fitness
Calling all men! Come join the group fitness ministry! Several classes designed just for you are available, including Body Buster which focuses on strengthening and sculpting every muscle group of the body to its max, and Boot Camp which offers a challenging workout consisting of intensive cardiovascular conditioning and is a test of muscular endurance.
